SELECTIVE WASTE COLLECTION
Selective Waste Collection

ALGAR offers a free selective collection service for packaging waste, door-to-door collection, and collections from small businesses, restaurants, and services, known as "Algarlinha." For more details, see the BUSINESS AREA menu on the Selective Collection page for information on the collection methodology associated with this service.

Algar only collects from recycling bins on public roads. It does not provide dedicated door-to-door collection for the general public. It also does not collect unsorted waste.

 

Recycling collection is available daily, 7 days a week. The recycling collection service for paper/cardboard packaging and plastic/metal packaging operates 24 hours a day. Recycling collection for glass packaging operates between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
