ALGAR AND ENTRAJUDA PROMOTE CHARITY CAMPAIGN TO COLLECT USED CLOTHING AND TOYS
The initiative, part of European Waste Prevention Week, aims to prevent waste production, encourage the circular economy and support families in financial difficulty Between 22 and 30 November, ALGAR and ENTRAJUDA are once again joining forces to bring to life the annual ‘Solidarity Collection of Used Children's Clothes and Toys’ campaign. This initiative invites all citizens to participate by donating used items at all ALGAR facilities.

Algar highlighted by Sociedade Ponto Verde for its innovative and sustainable AI project
Sociedade Ponto Verde (SPV) recently highlighted the Artificial Intelligence Tool for the placement of recycling bins, a partnership between ALGAR and the start-up NILG.AI, as part of the 3rd edition of the Re_source innovation programme, as an inspiring example of innovation in waste management and recovery. This pioneering project aims to optimise the selection of locations for the installation of recycling bins, ensuring a more efficient and sustainable distribution, contributing to smarter environmental management.

FRAUD ALERT – MISUSE OF THE ALGAR NAME
ALGAR hereby informs that it has become aware of the misuse of its name in fraudulent schemes associated with the collection of used clothing. There have been reports of contacts requesting personal and banking details, such as IBAN, on behalf of ALGAR. We would like to clarify that ALGAR does not request any type of personal or bank details in the context of its selective collection or waste recovery activities, nor does it collect used clothing.
