Algar informs that, due to the strike called by the Union of Workers in Manufacturing, Energy and Environmental Activities in the South (SITE SUL), scheduled to take place between midnight on 20 January and midnight on 21 January 2025, there may be disruptions to the following services:

Waste Reception
Waste Transfer
Selective Waste Collection

In addition, the strike covers overtime between midnight on 18 January and midnight on 21 January 2025, which may also affect the regular operation of our activities during this period.

In accordance with the applicable legal requirements, this notice is being given at least 3 working days in advance to ensure that all customers are duly informed of possible impacts on the service.

Algar is committed to ensuring the provision of essential minimum services, in accordance with the provisions of Article 537 of the Labour Code, and to minimising the effects of the strike as far as possible. We reiterate that every effort is being made to ensure that normal service is resumed as soon as possible after the end of the strike.
