The initiative, part of European Waste Prevention Week, aims to prevent waste production, encourage the circular economy and support families in financial difficulty

Between 22 and 30 November, ALGAR and ENTRAJUDA are once again joining forces to bring to life the annual ‘Solidarity Collection of Used Children's Clothes and Toys’ campaign. This initiative invites all citizens to participate by donating used items at all ALGAR facilities.

The aim of the campaign is to extend the life cycle of objects that, although no longer useful to some, may be essential to others, promoting waste prevention and reinforcing the commitment to the circular economy.

The campaign is part of European Waste Prevention Week (EWPW) 2025, which this year has the theme ‘Switch on value, switch off waste’, dedicated to Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and the importance of its correct management throughout its life cycle.

In this context, toys donated by participants in the campaign that contain electrical or electronic components also contribute to the recovery of these materials, preventing them from becoming waste and promoting their safe and sustainable reuse.

All goods received in good condition will be delivered to families supported by the ENTRAJUDA Social Solidarity Institution.

With this and other initiatives integrated into SEPR, ALGAR reinforces its commitment to the circular economy, encouraging practices of reuse, repair and recovery of resources, which are essential for reducing waste and protecting the environment.
