| “Green Dot” Symbol |
When packaging displays the “Green Dot” Symbol it means that a financial contribution has been made to the SPV (Sociedade Ponto Verde – Green Dot Society), which, in accordance with the principles set down in European Directive no. 94/62 and respective national legislation, is responsible for recycling packaging after use. The “Green Dot” Symbol is not an ecological symbol. |

As a consequence of the decomposition of the organic matter in the SUW, the cells in landfills produce methane, especially after they have been sealed.
